On February 3, 2017 the Back to Basics Collective put together a concert/fundraiser, When Love Says Go, to support my upcoming longterm missions to Asia.

I’d been hashtagging #WhenLoveSaysGo over the past year as I traveled to different countries and cities for ministry and missions, as just a simple statement of–well, wherever God tells me to go, I’ll go. Maybe some questions asked (let’s be real here & because I’m naturally inquisitive), but always in faith and with an expectant, open heart.

I’m reminded of Aladdin, extending his hand to the skeptical Jasmine after he’s jumped on the magic carpet:  do you trust me?

This was God, circa Spring 2015, talking to me that the next few years were going to be an adventure, beyond what I could dream/imagine, that He was gonna show me a whoooollllleeee new world. And He was extending His hand, asking me, do you trust me?

I won’t detail the entire journey since then, cuz that’ll be in another post, but I will say this: this move-still-in-progress has been overwhelming, glorious, scary, nerve-wrecking, sublime, outrageous, exciting, work work work, and probably one of the most important challenges of faith in my life so far. There’s sacrifice, there’s cost…and there probably will continue to be, I’m under no delusions. But, the reward of saying yes to Love is so much greater.

I want to encourage you, Beloved–the dreams God’s put in your heart, that voice of LOVE telling you to go, step out, be brave, take a chance, take that risk, grab G’s hand and jump on that magic carpet for the ride of your life…go for it. Just, go for it. Let’s not live carrying regrets that’ll bury us when we die.

And, No–He won’t let you down, ever.
